Deer Park, New York is in the
township of Babylon located in Central Suffolk County and
was settled in 1666,
by Jacob Conklin, an English settler. Deer Park NY was named
for its large population of Long Island white tailed deer,
the area was largely unsettled until around the
Revolutionary War time.
